Working In Cyprus 
Since Cyprus joined the European Union in 2004, employment is widely available to all EU citizens. The main industry is the tourist trade with many jobs being seasonal and salaries topped-up with a government allowance during the closed season. Many emigrating residents are starting their own businesses and operating very successfully.
There are Labour Offices in each town which offer a similar service to the UK Jobcentres. Vacancies are also advertised in Cyprus newspapers such as the Cyprus Weekly and Cyprus Mail. There are also several websites advertising jobs but the most successful method is usually word of mouth.
